PRESS STATEMENT On Wednesday, 10th September 2025, at about 3:50 pm, I, Comr. Emmanuel O. O., National Head of Research and Deputy Southwest Coordinator of the Coalition for Peter Obi (CPO), alongside colleagues, narrowly escaped a deadly kidnapping attack along the Kabba–Abuja highway. According to eyewitness accounts, four armed men dressed in army uniforms mounted an illegal roadblock. Two of them carried rifles while two others wielded heavy sticks. They fired gunshots into the air to create panic and successfully stopped an 18-seater bus ahead of us. Tragically, almost all passengers inside that bus were abducted. Only a blind elderly woman, another aged woman, and one man who cleverly hid himself managed to escape. Our own bus, which followed closely behind, came under threat. In fear for our lives, we ran into the bush and hid until the kidnappers left the scene with their victims.
