  PRESS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Date: 9th October, 2026 Southern Region, Nigeria The African Democratic Congress (ADC) AGMC Southern Regional Support Group has condemned in the strongest terms the brutal and cowardly attack on one of its members who was left with serious facial injuries and is currently receiving medical treatment in the hospital. In a statement jointly signed by the Director General and National Coordinator, Amb. Odion C. Okpedholo, and the Secretary, Dr. Augusta Ejitogute Sobere, the group described the attack as barbaric, undemocratic, and a direct threat to Nigeria's democracy and peaceful coexistence. According to the group, the victim was attacked by suspected political thugs for his political beliefs and affiliation. Food poisoning happens when you eat or drink something contaminated with harmful germs or toxins. 🚨 Common signs include: 🤢 Nausea, 🤮 Vomiting, 💩 Diarrhoea, 😣 Stomach pain, 🌡️ Fever.  It can happen from undercooked food, contaminated water, unwashed produce, poor hand hygiene, or food that has been stored improperly. 🤌What should you do? Here is what to do: ✍️ Lay the person flat on their back and, if there is no injury, gently raise their legs. ✍️ Loosen tight clothing around the neck and waist and allow fresh air. ✍️ Check if they are breathing normally. ✍️ If they are breathing but still unconscious, place them in the recovery position and keep watching their breathing. ✍️ Once they wake up, let them rest and get up slowly. Don’t immediately give them food or drink until they are fully awake and able to swallow safely. ⚠️ If they are not breathing normally, don't waste time, call for emergency help and start CPR if you know how.
