Adedeji Ayokanmi Ridwan: A Son of Odogunyan Declares for Councillor


Adedeji Ayokanmi Ridwan, a well-known figure in the Odogunyan community, has officially declared his candidacy for the post of Councillor in Odogunyan Ward E1 under the platform of The All Progressive Congress. Ayokanmi, a true son of Odogunyan, was born and raised in the community. He attended his primary, secondary, and higher education in Odogunyan. His business is also located in the community.  Ayokanmi is also a known actor, bringing a unique perspective to the political landscape. 


Ayokanmi's deep-rooted connection to Odogunyan and his diverse experience make him a strong candidate. He has pledged to bring positive change to the community, promising to address key issues that affect the residents of Odogunyan Ward E1. His campaign promises include

Edo 2024: Imansuangbon seeks Akpata's disqualification as LP candidate

A governorship aspirant of the Labour Party (LP), in Edo State, Mr. Kenneth Imansuangbon, has asked a Benin Federal High Court to disqualify Mr. Olumide Akpata as the party's governorship candidate for the  September 21, 2024, governorship election in the state. In the suit with number FHC B/CS/26/2024, and filed at the Benin division of the Federal High Court by his counsel A.A. Malik & Co, Imansuangbon said that the Labour Party, who is the second defendant in the suit erred by declaring Olumide Akpata the winner of the party's governorship primary conducted on February 23, 2024. This is also as the aspirant filed another suit in the Abuja division of the Federal High Court where he alleged Akpata and his running mate lied under oat and supplied false information to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
