 What a beautiful Monday it was in Ikorodu North!


March 9, 2026, the Ikorodu North LCDA Secretariat in Isiu came alive for the much-anticipated swearing-in and inauguration ceremony of the Secretary to the Local Government (SLG), Supervisors, and Special Advisers. Hosted by the ever-dynamic Executive Chairman, Mayor Ameen Olawale Ibrahim Apanisile, the event drew a warm, packed crowd of families, friends, community leaders, skilled professionals, and enthusiastic residents from across the LCDA.


The hall was buzzing with genuine happiness — you could feel the pride and excitement in the air. Loved ones beamed as they watched their own step into new roles of service. APC party faithful, including the respected APC Ikorodu North Chairman and the ever-supportive Vice Mayor in person of Hon. Mathew, were all present to show solidarity. And let's not forget the lively Apanisile Babes, who brought extra colour, music, and entertainment that had everyone smiling and swaying along.


In his address, Mayor Ameen Apanisile spoke with calm confidence and clear vision. He reminded everyone that this moment launches the full rollout of his New Deal Agenda — a people-focused plan built around better service delivery, inclusivity, and real progress for every community in Ikorodu North. He took time to publicly announce the portfolios assigned to each new appointee. It was a transparent, reassuring move that showed thoughtful planning ahead.

Their responses were heartfelt, practical, and fully aligned with the Mayor's vision.


These conversations reinforced the energy of the day: this new team isn't just taking oaths; they're ready to roll up their sleeves and deliver tangible results for Ikorodu North.
