United Odokekere Youth Lead Massive Turnout for Monthly Environmental Sanitation in Ikorodu North

The youths of Odokekere Community in Ikorodu North LCDA have once again demonstrated true leadership and community spirit as they came out in large numbers for the monthly environmental sanitation exercise.

Under the umbrella of the United Odokekere Youth, the young people rolled up their sleeves and actively participated in cleaning their environment, showing dedication to keeping their community healthy and tidy.

Olamide Gudoo OnlineTv was live on ground to capture every moment of the exercise. Beyond cleaning, the youths took proactive steps by educating market women on the importance of full participation in next month’s sanitation exercise.

In exclusive interviews facilitated during the exercise, the President of the United Odokekere Youth, Mr. Bankole David, and the Public Relations Officer, Mrs. Kabirat Shodunke, shared insights on the group’s commitment to community development.

The PRO also helped coordinate interviews with several market women, who expressed heartfelt appreciation for the efforts of the United Odokekere Youth. The market women promised to mobilize more of their colleagues to join the next sanitation exercise in even larger numbers.

Additionally, the market women used the opportunity to appeal to the government to install solar-powered street lights in the community. They emphasized that this would greatly boost the night-life economy and improve security and business activities after dark.

This inspiring display of youth leadership proves that when young people take ownership of their community, real change happens.

Kudos to the United Odokekere Youth for leading by example!
