IKORODU FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY – The political temperature in Ikorodu just hit boiling point. 


On the ground for Olamide Gudoo OnlineTv, I witnessed what can only be called a political earthquake: Ikorodu Division Youth convened a Press Conference and walked out with one resounding decision — Honorable Babajimi Benson continues.


It Wasn’t Just Youth. It Was Everyone.


This wasn’t a one-group affair. The hall was a coalition of voices that rarely sit in the same room:


United Odokekere Youths Representatives brought the grassroots fire

SUG President, Lagos State University of Science and Technology brought the student bloc

Representatives of the Deaf Community made sure inclusion was front and center

Scouts and The Royal Rangers stood in formation, showing discipline and unity

And dozens more youth leaders and community stakeholders filled every seat


Different backgrounds. One demand: continuity.


Testimonies Cut Through the Noise


Forget manifestos for a second. The moment that shifted the room was the testimonies. 


People stood up and told it raw — how “Mr Infrastructure” changed their streets, opened access for their kids, and delivered projects where others only gave speeches. No hype. Just facts from the ground. That’s why they call him Mr Infrastructure. He builds where it matters.


The Receipts Were Laid Bare


Ikorodu Division Youth didn’t rely on emotions alone. They walked through verifiable achievements of Honorable Jimi Benson’s time in office — projects completed, policies pushed, opportunities created. 


Their message: _We’re not gambling with our future. We’re sticking with someone who has delivered and can do more.*


The Endorsement That Shook the Hall


When the call for endorsement came, there was no hesitation. No division. The entire room rose as one in an energetic, unified endorsement that sent a clear signal across Ikorodu Federal Constituency.
